Aquarius

Aquarius — September 2026

Monthly forecast

air sign
*Pluto* has been sitting in your sign since 2023, which means you've had three years of what I can only describe as enforced identity renovation. Most signs find *Pluto* transits devastating. Aquarius finds them clarifying, which is almost more alarming, because it means you've spent three years convinced you are the one person on earth who is doing transformation correctly. September is when that particular delusion gets a little stress-tested. The *New Moon* falls on the 11th in *Virgo*, which for you activates the eighth house. The eighth house is the one nobody puts on their vision board: other people's money, shared resources, debt, the psychological mess underneath the intellectual tidiness you project to the world. A *Virgo* new moon in the eighth house is an invitation to begin something. What you'll actually do is make a very detailed plan to begin something, probably in a notebook you bought specifically for this purpose, and feel so satisfied with the quality of the planning that the doing becomes optional. This is the month's real pattern. You will confuse the architecture with the building. *Mercury* moves from *Virgo* into *Libra* during September, passing through your eighth and into your ninth house. Your thinking sharpens, then floats. You'll start the month with a very precise grip on a problem, financial or otherwise, and finish it composing eloquent arguments for why the problem is actually quite complex and probably requires more research before you act. The research will take until December. The problem will still be there. On the work front, *Mars* is moving from *Cancer* into *Leo* this month, which shakes up your sixth and seventh houses. The sixth house is daily work, routine, the unglamorous machinery of a functional life. *Mars* in *Cancer* has made you slow and a bit defensive about your output, muttering under your breath about the people who don't appreciate the subtlety of what you do. When *Mars* crosses into *Leo*, you'll feel the urge to make a big visible move, possibly pitch something ambitious, possibly make a point in a meeting you've been sitting on for weeks. Do this. It'll actually go better than you expect. Just don't let the renewed confidence tip into explaining to a colleague why you've always thought X, at length, when they only asked if you wanted tea. *Saturn* in *Aries* is squaring your sun all month, which is a transit that basically means the universe is standing outside your window with a clipboard going "yes, but what have you actually done." *Saturn* squares are not punishments. They're accountability dressed as inconvenience. You, a sign constitutionally opposed to being accountable to anything except your own conclusions, will find this irritating. The *Full Moon* on the 27th lands in *Aries*, your third house. The third house rules communication, immediate environment, the words you send at 11pm that seem very reasonable until morning. Something comes to a head in a conversation, possibly one you've been managing very carefully by keeping it theoretical. *Aries* full moons do not do theoretical. Say the thing. The actual thing, not the diplomatic version that technically contains the thing if the other person reads it correctly. Here is the observation you'll feel surveilled by. You have a habit, when someone raises a concern about you, of listening very thoughtfully, asking several genuinely good questions, and then explaining, with great patience, why what they've described is a misunderstanding of your actual position. You leave these conversations feeling like you've communicated brilliantly. The other person leaves feeling like they were somehow peer-reviewed out of their own feelings. You're doing it with yourself this month too. Every time September tries to hand you a mirror, you're writing notes in the margin. *Jupiter* in *Leo* is still sitting in your seventh house, which means relationships have more warmth and generosity on offer than usual, if you'll let them be simple. You don't have to make love interesting. Sometimes it just is. You're one of the few signs that actually gets better when things get harder. September will be harder. Try not to write a manifesto about it.
